The Story

An idealistic group of travelers set out in an old Land Rover from Zanzibar, determined to experience Tanzania's most thrilling and beautiful national parks — the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and the remote wilderness beyond.
But bad decisions are made. As tensions rise, their dream adventure becomes a desperate struggle for survival near the barren, otherworldly shores of Lake Natron at the base of the active volcano "The Mountain of God" — one of the most inhospitable places in Africa
Based on true events from 1955, Lost Safari is a story of human endurance, the unforgiving beauty of the African wilderness, and what it truly means to be lost.
